Reasons you
may see an endocrinologist

You may choose to see Dr Subbiah following an abnormal blood-test result, an existing diagnosis or symptoms that could be related to a hormonal condition. Self-paying patients can book directly without a GP referral.

Reasons for arranging an appointment may include:

  • Abnormal or difficult-to-interpret thyroid results

  • A known or suspected thyroid condition

  • A thyroid swelling, nodule or goitre

  • Unexplained calcium or parathyroid results

  • Concerns about pituitary or adrenal function

  • Osteoporosis or metabolic bone disease

  • Menstrual, reproductive or testosterone concerns

  • Difficult-to-manage diabetes

  • Review of a diagnosed endocrine condition

  • A second opinion on a diagnosis or treatment plan

Hormonal symptoms can have several possible causes. Dr Subbiah will consider your symptoms alongside your medical history, medication and investigation results.

What to expect at your appointment

During your first consultation, Dr Subbiah will discuss your symptoms, medical history, current medication and any previous diagnoses or treatment.

He will review relevant blood-test results, scans and medical correspondence where these are available. He will then explain his initial findings and recommend an appropriate next step. This could include further investigations, treatment, monitoring or referral to another specialist where necessary.

If possible, please bring:

  • A list of your current medication
